Important Information Regarding Your WFNJ and NJ Snap Benefits

NJ SNAP food assistance recipients-Recertification periods are no longer being extended.  This means customers whose recertifications are expiring 1/31/22 or later are required to complete their phone recertification under normal pre-pandemic rules.   MCBOSS staff are calling those customers throughout the month of December for recertification interviews.  If you’ve received an appointment letter, please make every effort to be available at your scheduled time.  If you have already missed your scheduled appointment, please contact the agency as soon as possible to reschedule.

WFNJ/GA/TANF recipients- Redeterminations are no longer being extended. This means customers who have redetermination periods expiring 1/31/22 or later are required to complete their redetermination or their WFNJ cash assistance benefit will close.  These redetermination interviews will be done by phone (not in-person).  MCBOSS staff will be calling those customers throughout the month of December to complete their redeterminations.  If you already missed your scheduled appointment, please contact the agency as soon as possible to reschedule.

Mercer county residents who want to apply for SNAP food assistance, cash assistance under the Work First New Jersey program or Family Care Medicaid are encouraged to do so online at NJHelps.org. During this public health crisis, interviews will be conducted by phone, so you do not need to come into the office to apply for benefits.
